Unity is a young, talented group of gospel singers and musicians from the small, rural town known as Navasota, Texas. Each was raised in the church and taught to use the gifts that God has given them for his glory. As a result, they each began singing and playing musical instruments as early as 3 years of age. They began singing and traveling together in January of 2004. They often laugh about the fact that their earliest performances were done in the bleachers during local athletic events. Initially, the current lead singer, Bryant, was supposed to be the group’s keyboard player. Shortly after they arrived at their very first concert, he began singing the lead vocals and the rest is history. Known for their unique and creative delivery of the gospel, Unity has traveled the country sharing lyrics and mini-sermons about God’s power and love. In August of 2015, God blessed Unity to sign with Work Son Music. Under the label, they released their first single and video “I’m Brand New” on December 11, 2016, hit single Jesus is the Best Thing and on December 25, 2019, their current single Save Me. In 2019 they also were featured on an international cruise which allowed them to take the gospel to other countries and spread the word of Jesus Christ. While sowing into the community with mission work, they have shared the stage with some of the finest in gospel music including Tye Tribett, Leandria Johnson, The Gospel Legends, The Brooklyn All-stars, Pastor Kim Burrell, Pastor Tim Rogers and The Fellas, The Gospel Legends, Roy and Revelation, Jewell and Converted, Tiffany Andrews and many more. The group consists of lead vocalist Bryant Harris, vocalist/ drummer Perishia "Penny"Jones, vocalist/ keyboard Carriesa Porch, vocalist/ bass guitarist Marquisha" Q." Culbreath and has recently enhanced their sound with the addition of guitarists Patrick Jones, Devaughn Stuart, and percussionist Shannon Harris, and Darvis Walker on keys. Each member is saved, filled with the Holy Spirit and operates in ministry in their various church homes. Although they have careers in education, business, and media, they are determined to continue singing and their goal is to reach and change the lives of all they come in contact with.
